A huge list of new Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen books has been added to Amazon.com for preorder! This list of new titles includes five novels:

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Operation Autobot, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: The Last Prime, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: When Robots Attack!, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Made You Look! and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Spot the 'Bots.

There is also the inevitable movie adaptation novel, with Alen Dean Foster once again taking up the writing chores. A "junior novel" adaptation is also being published, which contains a condensed version of the story omitting the more violent elements.

Lastly there is a selection of other books, including two children's I Can Read books - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: I Am Optimus Prime and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen: Rise of the Decepticons. A character guide - Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Mix and Match - a reusable sticker album and a coloring & activity book round out the listing.

HBO will be hosting a Transformers Weekend in Malaysia this weekend in celebration of the coming of Transformers to the HBO channel in Malaysia on December 21st at 9 PM. The event will be held from this Friday, November 21st to Sunday, November 23rd. Guests can watch Starscream transform and get their picture taken with Optimus Prime. The first twenty people to show up in a Transformers costume or bring Transformers figures on Saturday will receive a goodie bag full of at least RM300-worth of Transformers premiums. In addition, the first twenty people to show up on Saturday and bring a printout of this page can redeem a goodie bag full of at least RM120-worth of Transformers premiums.

The event will be held at the Ikano Power Center in Mutiara Damansara, Selangor, Malaysia.

In their Job of the Week posting, Toy News Online highlights a position that is currently beign sought at Hasbro UK (United Kingdom). Hasbro UK is currently looking for someone to help push the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen toyline. This individual will work with Paramount Pictures, UK retail, the Hasbro Sales Team, media and public relations agencies, and support the global marketing drive. If any of our readers in the United Kingdom have the needed experience suggested in the job advertisment, apply today. Regardless of whomever gets the job, it appears Hasbro UK is ready to support the marketing drive for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

A poster at HK-TF has posted images of the supposed Cybertron Mode Soundwave figure for the upcoming Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie toyline. The images were photoshopped to hide some details. However, TFW2005 Veteran Joe Moore has lightend and enlarged the images using a photo editor. In an interview with The Dish Rag that appears in the Los Angeles Times, Isabel Lucas reveals that she was involved in several action scenes that involved stunts in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. She briefly describes one of the stunts, in which she describes that she was lifted above rooftops with the aid of a harness. This type of action may not be surprising, given the information regarding her character that has previously been reported through the TFW TF2 Insider. Although people connected to the movie have stated that the college that both Sam and Alice attend will not use a real college name, Isabel states that both Sam and her are Princeton students.

German Transformers Board ntf-archive.de has uncovered the German title for Transformers Revenge of the Fallen! In Germany, Revenge of the Fallen will be known as Transformers - Die Rückkehr (or in English, Transformers - The Return).

2005 Boards member MegaHavok is reporting that the Target exclusive Movie Screen Battles sets, Battle Over Mission City and Freeway Brawl, have been found at a Target in Yorba Linda, California. The Battle Over Mission City set contains a repainted Voyager-class Megatron and a normal release Final Battle Jazz while the Freeway Brawl set contains a repainted Voyager-class Optimus Prime and a normal release Bonecrusher. Each set is priced at $24.19. No pictures of the sighting are available at this time, but we will provide an update once one is received.

The Digital Bits is reporting in their Rumor Mill that Paramount will release a Transformers: Extended Edition version of the live-action movie on DVD and Blu-Ray in 2009. The release is likely to coincide with the release of the sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, in theatres next June. No other details regarding this release is available, so it is unknown if the extra footage in this edition will be the extra material shown in the IMAX version or if any other extra footage exists.

2005 Boards member S250 has received more information from his source regarding the Devastator Gestalt toy that will be released in the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen line. This new information provides details on what body part each of the construction vehilces form and backs up information previously provided by The TFW TF2 Insider. The Devastator Gestalt toy will be formed as follows:

Dump Truck - Right Leg, Bulldozer - Left Leg, Wheel Loader - Right Arm, Truss Crane - Left Arm, Excavator - Right Shoulder, Articulated Dump Truck - Left Shoulder, Cement Mixer - Head

S250 has also received an update regarding his previous information, the update being that six of the seven components (the lone exception being the Truss Crane) also apparently have a robot mode. The Truss Crane is listed as having "no robot form".

2005 Boards member S250, who has consitently provided accurate information to the site, reports meeting with a local agent in Asia who had some information regarding the Devastator Gestalt toy for the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen line. According to this local agent, the Devastator gestalt will feature a robot that combines with transformable construction vehicles that have no robot mode to form the giant, combined robot. This type of combination would be similar to that used by Energon Optimus Prime in the past. The local agent also said that each component of Devastator would receive a Deluxe-class version that could transform from vehicle to robot but does not combine with the other components. If true, it looks like collectors will have the choice of collecting a gestalt and/or collecting the individual components of Devastator.

About Soundwave: Roberto Orci confirms that "all signs point to yes" on several of the traits that make Soundwave what he is making it into the Movie. This includes the monotone vocoder voice, his loyalty to Megatron and his minions such as Ravage.

Staying on the topic of Soundwave and Ravage, Bob commented on the leaked concept art of Soundwave, and stated that the "concept art appears to imply it is Ravage who is a truck, no?" (Although the robot mode sketch has a clearly visible truck grill in the waist - what could this mean? Speculate on our 2005 Boards!)

Roberto also addressed the question of if there will be evil humans "Certainly, not every human will be on their side."

In closing, a few final comments from Mr Orci about what to look forward to in the new movie - for example, Optimus Prime "hasn't changed a bit!" from his humble and self-sacrificing personality presented in the first film. Also, with regards to how the writing process has worked for this sequel: "we start with the characters we know we have to have and start by imagining what they'd be up to two years later if we were merely thinking realistically, and we go from there."

After many months of filming, principle photography has officially been completed for Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. Nelson, of the Shoot For The Edit blog, gave the official confirmation that "It's a wrap!"
